Nokia company :
Nokia is a global multinational corporation located in Finland, famous for its manufacture of telecommunications devices, especially mobile phones. Nokia was founded in 1865 and was originally working in the paper industry, but over the decades it has evolved into one of the most prominent companies in the technology sector.
History and development :
Nokia started as a paper manufacturing company in the Finnish city of Tampere. In the early twentieth century, the company began to expand into other areas such as the rubber and electrical cable industries. Over time, it moved into the electronics and communications industry.
In the 1980s, Nokia entered the world of communications in earnest when it began manufacturing mobile phones. In the 1990s, Nokia became one of the world's leading companies in this field. The company developed the first mobile phone that could be used commercially on a large scale, and achieved great success thanks to devices such as the "Nokia 3310" that became an icon in the world of mobile phones.
Challenges and transformations :
With the emergence of smartphones and the iOS and Android operating systems, Nokia's market share began to shrink. The company was unable to quickly adapt to the new changes in smartphone technology, which led to a significant decline in its sales and market share.
In 2011, Nokia decided to cooperate with Microsoft and use the Windows Phone operating system in its smartphones. However, despite great efforts, Windows Phone phones could not compete with iOS and Android devices. In 2014, Microsoft bought Nokia's mobile phone division, but the results were not encouraging.
