The Assassins

The Assassins

What is the Assassin group :

The Assassin sect, also known as the Assassins or the New Da'wa, was an obscure Nizari Shi'a Ismaili sect that separated from the Fatimid slave sect at the end of the 5th century and continued until the 11th century AD. They believed in Nizar Al-Mustafa and his descendants. This sect spread widely between the fifth and seventh centuries in the Hijri calendar, which corresponds to the eleventh and thirteenth centuries in the Gregorian calendar.

Establishment of the Assassin group :

The Assassins group was founded by Hassan al-Sabah. The Assassins group began some time after Hassan al-Sabah joined the esoteric groups, and it began to appear as an esoteric Shiite Nizari group. It began to appear strongly when Hassan al-Sabah took control of the Castle of Death, and at that time the shepherds called Hassan al-Sabah the Sheikh of the Castle.
