In ancient Egypt, houses were initially made of mud brick, but as civilization developed they were classified according to social classes. There were three classes of society in that era:
Third layer :
As for the third floor, it was characterized by simplicity in architectural design, as it consisted of only one or two floors, and was inhabited by employees and farmers.
Second layer :
The second floor was very spacious, containing many rooms and granaries. In this layer live ministers, chief priests, and governors of regions.
First layer :
The first floor was distinguished by its spaciousness and the beauty of its decoration, and was inhabited by the king and his family.
